When in Vienna, Eat Biryani!

Updated: Mar 30, 2020

You know the feeling when you’re on a trip outside your country and you only crave your local cuisine. We have a lot of those, like a LOT.

If you’re looking for a halal Pakistani / Indian restaurant in Vienna, well you have come to right place.

Restaurant Indien Village is a fine-dining restaurant in the heart of Vienna.

This restaurant has been around since 1996 and is run by the owner himself who was kind enough to make sure that all the items we ordered catered to our taste buds (especially in terms of spice levels) which was absolutely delightful of him.

We tried their Murgh Biryani (Chicken Biryani), Jeera Aloo (Potato Curry with Cumin) and Garlic Nan (Indian Flatbread with Garlic Butter). Every bite was an explosion of flavors and textures, - the tenderness of the chicken, or the jeera aloo curry - it was a dream combination.

Oh and don’t forget to try their Kulfi (traditional milk ice cream) from their dessert menu.
